Timeless Blazer for Christmas Parties

img_3963 img_3962 img_3964 img_3961 img_3953 img_3984 img_3981 christmas party outfit inspiration

Christmas is just around the corner, and one thing is for sure; we can’t stop thinking of the delicious festive food or the festive clothing for the upcoming and super exciting parties. Even though, we are ready for a mouth-watering lunch or dinner anytime, when it comes to “I have a party to attend, but what do I wear now?”, we would probably get panicked and answer with the oh-so-classic “ I have nothing to wear!”.

In order to keep our calmness and never “lose it” when that time comes, the best tactic for a girl is, to always be perfectly prepared. Investing in a gorgeous sparkly or velvet dress, sounds like the only idea that comes in mind, but sometimes depending on our mood, we just can’t be bothered to wear something too girly or over-exposing. There is no need to worry; other equally beautiful and eye-catching outfit ideas like the look I’m wearing here, are available for you to get inspired.

The truth is that a formal dress makes us feel feminine and pretty, but have you tried wearing a tux with high heels? Power dressing even for parties, has the ability to not only make us look well-dressed, but also to uplift and boost our confidence like anything else. It’s just a different, sexy and powerful feeling, that you are able to understand only if you try it.

In today’s post, I’m showing you how to master the power dressing, if you fancy giving it a go during these Holidays. A simple yet luxurious black blazer, combined with a sleek black pair of trousers featuring a velvet trimming detail, is the way to go. A beautiful v-neck silk top, in a cream colour is the best option in order to give a little light in your outfit and make it stand out. Finish the look by adding a pair of high heels and voilà! As for makeup, a red, vampy or dark fuchsia lipstick will enhance the beauty of the monochrome outfit even more.

Elegant, stylish and classy. Would you wear it?

Todays’ post is another one in the series of maternity outfit posts that I intend to feature over the coming weeks. Maternity dressing needs to be comfy not frumpy. It took me a good few months to understand that. I will not deny the fact that dressing up has been very challenging, specially during the early months when you are neither here nor there. During these months I was totally dependent on my lovely cotton scarves. When you don’t want the world to know about your good news, then scarves are your go-to dressing option. Continue Reading

So I had a long gap on my blog. Some of you asked me why I wasn’t so active with my outfit posts. Well, there have been a few changes in my personal life and I found everything a bit overwhelming to deal with, and went into hibernation for a bit. Today’s blog is all about sharing my big story with you all and accepting the fact that one can look good pregnant. Yes you guessed it! We are expecting a new addition to our family. London Fashion Week SS15 Diary

Five days full of fashion madness have finally come to an end. Another year and another fun fashion week is over. One of the most stylish cities in the world hosted London Fashion Week SS15 to showcase a range of design talent from across the globe. From the big fashion houses to discovering new talent, London Fashion Week had it all. Attending Fashion Week fills me with excitement as a fashion enthusiast, and I love this buzz. I spent day one discover some new talent and attending some brilliant fashion shows. Here is a list of shows I experienced on Day 1.

JAMIE WEI HUANG

Jamie’s SS15 collection is inspired on a basic idea of the human existence within urban society. SS15 collection takes the fundamentals of a variety of sporting uniform and equipment varying from bicycle bags, skiwear and basketball shorts. A fascinating contrast when combined with elements that are inspired from industry professions such as the ‘London banker’ Here a are few of my favourite pieces from the collection.

Beach Holiday Outfit Ideas

Beach holidays are ever so refreshing. I get a sense of calmness just by looking at the blue water. I love beach holiday, actually who doesn’t. I need it at least once a year to get me going. This year I had an opportunity to explore some hidden and quiet beaches along the coast of southern Italy in Puglia.

When it comes to beach dressing it has to be effortless and fuss free. Something that can be multi-purpose: both a cover up and an outfit. Today I share two outfits with you that are ideal for spending an afternoon/evening stroll on the beach.

Shorts in the city

Great British summer is spreading its wings over London and it’s now time to make the most of it. I personally think summer is the best time to be in London. For most it’s the holiday season but if you truly want to make the most of London and British summer then stay put. This is the time to enjoy after office drinks, lazy summer picnics and just a glass of red wine in your backyard.Say goodbye to heavy layers and infuse some freshness to your light summer wardrobe. Follow me in Puglia Part 2

White cone roof houses , Trulli Alberobello

White cone roof houses , Trulli Alberobello

On Day 2 of our holiday in Puglia, in southern Italy, we drove down to Alberobello. The very reason we planned our holiday was to visit the ancient white cone roof houses called Trullis in Alberobello, a UNESCO world heritage site. What we didn’t realise that it’s a very popular tourist destination and even in the non-holiday season there are queues to get into the city. Arpit’s broken Italian came in very handy when asking for directions, as the GPS didn’t take us to the main parking area. Continue Reading

Happy 2014 from The Red Notebook

Happy New Year to all my readers. Hope you all had a fabulous start and your new year resolution is still intact – I broke mine today so it didn’t last very long. Today’s post is very important to me as I want to take this opportunity to thank a few people who made my Red Notebook journey extremely special.

2013 was an eventful year for me. A milestone year in my life where I was able to launch my dream project “The Red Notebook”. Balancing a full time job, a two year old and my creative ambition has been tough but when I go to bed at night I feel tired for the right reasons. Continue Reading
