Party Season Favourites

party

Party season is coming and we finally have a serious excuse to wear glittery, sparkly and fancy clothes without the fear of being too much. Lucky us, this season is all about luxury textiles in amazing earthy or deep jewel tones, as well as sparkly details; as extreme as it gets. And who doesn’t love dressing-up? Especially with clothes that make us feel prettier than ever but don’t have the opportunity to wear whenever we want. Our time is around the corner!

A great place to consider for your party-ing attires, is Topshop. Depending on the occasion, your mood and your taste, there is something for all. From gorgeous formal maxi dresses like this, to mini dresses and trendy skirts.

Other than that, here are some beautiful options from the latest trends to check-out, if you’re going to parties and want to look your best.

The Statement Skirt

A statement skirt like this black sequin midi from Warehouse, is a chic and classy way to make an entrance. Wear it with a simple silk blouse and minimal accessories in order to let the skirt speak for itself.

The Velvet Dress

Velvet is hands down the fabric of the season. It is luxe, elegant and adds value in any form. A wine coloured mini dress like this from Mango, is the easiest choice for a party. With a dress like that, you will look fashionable without much effort from you. Pair it with sleek black pumps and voilà!

The Sequin Dress

If you are ready to shine and like more daring clothes, then this sequin dress from &Other Stories is definitely for you. You will be the centre of attention and for a good reason. Keep in mind that the rest of your accessories and makeup have to be super simple, so the outcome stays smart and stylish.

London Fashion Week SS15 Diary

Five days full of fashion madness have finally come to an end. Another year and another fun fashion week is over. One of the most stylish cities in the world hosted London Fashion Week SS15 to showcase a range of design talent from across the globe. From the big fashion houses to discovering new talent, London Fashion Week had it all. Attending Fashion Week fills me with excitement as a fashion enthusiast, and I love this buzz. I spent day one discover some new talent and attending some brilliant fashion shows. Here is a list of shows I experienced on Day 1.

JAMIE WEI HUANG

Jamie’s SS15 collection is inspired on a basic idea of the human existence within urban society. SS15 collection takes the fundamentals of a variety of sporting uniform and equipment varying from bicycle bags, skiwear and basketball shorts. A fascinating contrast when combined with elements that are inspired from industry professions such as the ‘London banker’ Here a are few of my favourite pieces from the collection.

Indian Asian Fashion Blog UK Anita Dongre

When I first sway the video of Anita Dongre’s ‘Jaipur Bride’, I was just mesmerized by the concept, the design and their projection of the modern Indian bride. Little did I know that I would have an opportunity to admire her latest collection right here in London and it’s not just Anita Dongre – for the first time in London, pioneering Indian and Pakistani design talent will come together on one platform. Few weeks back I saw this picture of Victoria Beckham looking ultra stylish, wearing heels in a snowy New York. It made me laugh – fashion can be crazy at times. Last week it was all about New York fashion Week and fashion media went crazy reporting on trends, celebrities, street style and more. This week it was our very own fashion capital, London’s turn to be its stylish best. I was lucky to be invited to a few catwalk shows and fashion presentations last weekend as a fashion blogger for The Red Notebook. It was my first stint at London Fashion Week and I have to admit it was one crazy fashion experience. But I enjoyed every bit of it. Continue Reading
