We all love holidays, but most hate packing. So how can we take the stress out of it? For me, the entire build-up to the holiday is exciting. It is that time of the year when I get a bit obsessive about clothes. I always leave my packing to the last minute but get my outfits organised in advance. Today on the blog I am sharing some key pieces that are versatile and a great addition to your wardrobe.
Maxi dress
A maxi dress can easily take you from day to evening. Just swap the shoes/accessories and you are ready to go. I chose this black jersey maxi dress from H&M. Generally white is considered a more appropriate colour for summer but try black with coloured glasses to create a trendy look.
Denim shorts
Once again, a very versatile and must have holiday suitcase item. You can easily take your denim shorts from a day to evening look by just changing the top. Swap for day top with a shimmery camisole and you are good to go. I love these Forever 21 shorts of mine. They are super comfy and give me a very relaxed fit.
Summer dress
Pack relaxed and loose fit dresses. Holiday dresses are easy to wear and can give you a break from work clothing. I chose this off-shoulder yellow dress from Mango. It was super comfy but creased a lot (which I didn’t mind much on holiday). The other one is this layered light khaki coloured dress. I loved wearing this dress-it was fun and very boho chic.
The key to holiday packing is being organised with your outfits. I am sure when you start packing, you will have ‘I have nothing to wear’ moments. Pick versatile pieces that you can match with other things. Pieces that can easily take you from day to night. Comfy flats are a must and if you want a change, then pack a pair of heeled sandals.
I would love to hear about your holiday packing experiences. Do share your top tips with me. Till then stay fabulous, stay stylish.
