Before the grey and cold London winter hits us, we still have time to rock out some autumn looks. Today we will experiment with a layered biker jacket look. I am a big advocate of layered clothing as it adds variety to your look. Avoid using same coloured layers as that makes the outfit look heavy. Experiment with colours to make your outfit a bit different and add your own personal touch to it. Layered clothing comes in handy when you go from chilly outdoor to warm offices or home. Its helps you combine different fabrics and colours and creates a unique personal style.
So my muse for this look is lovely Jas who is always ready to experiment with different styles. To create this autumn/winter layered look I chose distressed grey skinny jeans. I am loving grey jeans this season, a welcome change from your everyday denims. Grey goes well with pastel shades as well as dark colors like black. Personally, I love distressed denim as it gives a very vintage inspired worn and rugged look. I teamed up the jeans with a light grey sheer collared shirt. Collared shirts look adorable under sweaters.
Slip into a stylish sweater this season – they are ultra cosy and can look chic when mixed and matched well. Opt for rich berry shades, team it up with denim or black leather pants and you are done. I teamed up the shirt with a dark berry jumper. This fluffy jumper is one of those wardrobe essentials that you need to have this season. Finally we paired it up with my favorite biker jacket, again a very important wardrobe stable.
Bling it up
It’s now time to accessories the look. As you know, I personally minimalistic looks but since the inception of The Red Notebook I have started experimenting with jewelry to add that bling to my outfit ideas. I paired this multi layered silver necklace with a sequin grey bracelet which enhanced the grey/black shades of the outfit. This gorgeous multi layer necklace will look good on shirts and blouses and now is a must have in my wardrobe.
Hair & Makeup
Jas has lovely curly hair so we didn’t have to stress much. I let her hair be messy and wavy with a side parting. For the eyes, I used a simple black eyeliner with loads of thick mascara on the upper and lower lashes. Finally I opted for a dark pink lipstick to finish off the look.
So what do you think, would you try this layered biker look this season ? Would love to hear from you. Leave me your feedback and comments below. Till then keep experimenting with your personal style.
