I had been dreaming about my daughter’s first birthday since the day she was born, and finally it was time to bring my dreams to life – her first birthday party!
I wanted to do something where the focus would be on the little ones. A vintage themed tea party was the perfect choice to celebrate the occasion.A vintage themed tea party was the perfect choice to celebrate the occasion.
I made vintage paper buntings and used fabric gift bags, vintage cutlery and cup cake stands to bring the theme to life. I also used fairy lights in the conservatory. They looked like tiny glow worms and lifted the mood on a rainy
November day.
Most kids were in the 1-2 year age group so we had loads of soft balls to play with. They were an instant hit but in the end these balls were all over my living room (took me ages to clean up; but was well worth it). Meera thoroughly enjoyed the evening and that was my biggest gift.
