So I had a long gap on my blog. Some of you asked me why I wasn’t so active with my outfit posts. Well, there have been a few changes in my personal life and I found everything a bit overwhelming to deal with, and went into hibernation for a bit. Today’s blog is all about sharing my big story with you all and accepting the fact that one can look good pregnant. Yes you guessed it! We are expecting a new addition to our family.
I am in my 25th week and dressing up hasn’t been easy. The high-street doesn’t really offer good choices for maternity fashion. Most of the nice stuff is expensive and it is not fair to spend so much on something that you would only wear for a few months. In today’s post I have used pieces from my own wardrobe and emphasised on wearing classic wardrobe pieces.
One piece of clothing you will always find in all major high-street collections is a stripy maternity t-shirt. I found mine at H&M. Its ultra comfortable and super stretchy. The material feels really high quality and it has become my maternity wardrobe staple.
London has experienced great Autumn weather recently and I wore this look on a crisp sunny Autumn morning. My maternity denims are from Topshop and again, super stretchy and comfortable. Please note that you shouldn’t buy one-size bigger maternity jeans as these jeans stretch very easily. Going a size up wouldn’t be a great fit. Also Blazers are my choice for maternity clothing. They are versatile and you can carry them from day to evenings. I hope you enjoy how I have styled my maternity day look.
In the coming weeks I will blog more about maternity fashion and how to style when pregnant.
Outfit : Top – H&M | Blazer – Dorothy Perkinks | Shoes – Asos | Necklace – Forever 21| Jeans – Topshop
Oh you look beautiful lovely. I adore you’re stripey top – when all else fails classic pieces such as that top look awesome. I agree the high street is a bitch for finding nice maternity wear that isn’t silly priced. x

Thank you
First of all you look great for 25 weeks – I am around the same and also struggling to find things to wear which are in keeping with my style – it’s an awkward part of the pregnancy I think but you have nail the chic maternity look

Hey Laura great to hear that you are 25 weeks. Thanks for your comment
You look great! So glad you’re embracing your bump. Brown girls tend to hide their bumps for some reason. Lobe your rings and coat.
