Few weeks back my friends hosted an intimate baby shower to welcome the new phase of our lives. I am thankful for the love and support I receive from my circle of friends, who are more like immediate family. Luckily it wasn’t a surprise for me so I had the time to plan my outfit.

Maternity dressing has been hard for me but during the past eight months I did try and create different looks. Adding style to my maternity wardrobe was a challenge but I didn’t give up. So here is what I wore to my baby shower.
I simply love the wine colour of this dress – perfect for this time of the year. The jersey fabric is very soft and totally flatters your newfound curves. The length is also right and you have an option to team it up with some sheer back tights. Black is most women go to colour (including me) during pregnancy and it does the job, but I wanted to try a vibrant colour for the baby shower.
Using accessories gives an edge to your outfit but be mindful and do not go overboard. I paired the dress with some muted gold accessories. My accessories included long statement earrings from ZARA and a graphic hand cuff from H&M. Strong statement earrings are perfect for partying or adding something extra to an everyday look.
Baby showers are fun and its feels nice to be pampered. Now with only few weeks to go, all I am doing is putting my feet up and catching up on sleep.
This is the time to indulge and totally pamper yourself before the ‘All day PJs’ days. Look forward to welcoming my new life phase.
